Canoe Outrigger

Canoe Outrigger (Amas and Akas)- 25 February 2012 to present

The outrigger, or also known as amas and akas is based on the SailRig plans from Chesapeake. I'm working from the plans illustrated in the book "Stitch and Glue - Boatbuilding" by Chris Kulczycki.

Update:

12 December 2012:
From a second test run done on 10 December 2012, it was discovered that the Leeboard on the design below is to far forward. The Leeboard is going to be moved to the mid-section of the Pirogue.
